Marketing Schools; from Manchester and beyond

Our latest social marketing project was with an all-boys secondary school that had recently become a specialist media arts college. The college had invested resources both internally and externally to promote the College to its target audience. 

Aligned to this investment program the college also recognised that whilst their results were above the national average that these results could be further improved by presenting their students with unique learning opportunities specific to Media and Arts.

The scope of works identified that to achieve a positive behavioural change and enhance the educational performance of the students that role models were required from within the College. These role models were identified as peers that the fellow students could easily relate to and aspire to follow their behavioural and educational achievements.  Perfect Circle worked with a group of twelve students from the College to develop and implement an external marketing campaign that promoted the unique learning opportunities on offer at the College.

The students had the opportunity to work alongside the Perfect Circle, participating and featuring in the actual campaign. The follow up process identified that the project had successfully achieved its objectives, both internally and externally. Internally, one specific outcome was an increase in the number of students that actively requested the opportunity to attend extra classes. 

Externally, the marketing campaign utilised the latest communication tools and achieved national record (JC Decaux) for the number of SMS download requests (6675) from a single 6 sheet advertising location. To find out more then click here MEN press coverage- Burnage Media Arts College
