Social Marketing NHS Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton PCT - DNA Campaign
Perfect Circle worked with NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale PCT on a social marketing campaign designed to decrease the number of non-attended dental appointments from pre-campaign levels of 10%.
Non attendance costs the NHS approx seven hundred thousand pounds per year, so it was crucial that the campaign educated patients that if they do not attend their NHS appointment they are also denying other patients treatment and wasting their resources. The campaign was created to communicate that non-attendance of appointments can lead to NHS dental treatment being withdrawn and was structured to encourage patients to cancel appointments with at least 24 hours notice, whilst also informing the target audience of the availability of NHS dental services within the Rochdale area.
To date the campaign has seen a 37% decrease in DNA’s and a 29.6% decrease in cancellations between May 09 - Sept 09.
