Global Social Marketing Awards

Perfect Circle are delighted to have been selected as a finalist at the Global Social Marketing Awards 2010.  The nomination is for the Most Effective Creative Communications Campaign, for which we submitted our Burnage Media Arts College Social Marketing Campaign.  This highly prestigious awards event will separate the mediocre from those of truly outstandingly high caliber achievers, people who can really claim to be at the forefront of changing the world we live in

This award will be presented to the agency that is best able to demonstrate the most effective communications campaign- Hopefully that will be us!!! The Burnage Media Arts Campaign was a stand out campaign that possessed a strong focus on creative execution, pushed the boundaries of communications to achieve its objectives, including creative bus shelter wraps, to Bluetooth SMS, Interative Sonic Bus Shelters and ‘Real Life learning’ activities that involved the students of Burnage Media Arts College in Manchester.

Please keep your toes, fingers, and eyes crossed that we scoop the award so that we can continue to deliver our dream of successful people, living healthier lives in a sustainable world.

Graduate Internship week six

We have a new client on board so I’ve been working alongside Oliver to review their current prospectus and have logged in all the changes they want to see in the new prospectus, using Excel. I’ve also helped Jennie by sourcing more potential clients for her and have helped Dave to compile this information.

Connect with millions of new customers via 3G apps

image

Profits at Apple jumped 69pc in the first three months of the year as consumers across the world continue to fall in love with the iPhone.  Apple said it sold about nine million units- more than double the figure from a year earlier.  And it shipped about ten million iPods and sold more than 300,000 of its iPad tablet computer, on its launch day in the US. The device goes on sale in Europe next month.

The continued success of Apple presents huge opportunities for businesses to connect with their customers by creating unique experiential connections via these 3G technologies. In today’s world, digital marketing channels are overlapping and fusing to bring brands and the brand experience closer to the customer.

A key driver for this new digital experience is Apple’s iPhone, iPod iTouch and iPad (coming to these shores soon!) and their customised apps that offer customers experiences that can transform their day to day reality. Studies show customers that adopt a brand as a result of an experiential connection are far more likely to remain loyal to it and to become brand advocates and 3G phones provide huge opportunities for brands to make that experiential connection a reality.

Large sectors of the market are without any 3G app representation and missing the opportunity to connect with millions of iPhone, iTouch, iPod and iPad users, and seize the opportunity that this new channel presents. This is leaving the way open for brands with vision and clarity to occupy the prized position of ‘first mover status’.

To take your position as a first mover in the market and generate those uniquely prized experiences that your customers demand, find out how Perfect Circle can create an army of brand advocates for your brand.

This week I’ve produced a project plan for the company’s Twitter activity to make more people aware of the work of Perfect Circle. It’s been great to have had the responsibility of managing the company’s social networking profiles and to have developed them as its it will hopefully help the company develop a greater online presence.

Week four of my Marketing Internship!

image
With social networking accounts set up by myself for Perfect Circle, I’ve managed to source some information and examples of past and recent campaigns to upload and showcase on their Facebook profile. I’ve also been working on mock ups of background designs for their Twitter page, to help give it more of a brand identity and raise brand awareness. Oliver has asked for me to help him produce some copy for a couple of tenders he’s hoping to secure in the near future, this is quite important work so the pressure’s on!

Things I have been doing this week on my placement

image
This week I’ve helped the new business manager to source potential new clients and I’ve produced a database for Jennie to work through and contact, with new opportunities, hopefully something will come of it! I have also updated the presentation I produced for one of our clients and I’ve been invited to go along to the pitch with Oliver, so I think this will be an interesting insight into how the company sells their ideas to clients. The social networking project is starting to take shape; it will be a fresh and exciting campaign if we can get the client on board, so fingers crossed!

My Internship blog week two

image
I’ve carried out a lot of research on social marketing and 3G apps to help the company with their e-mail marketing shots, which will hopefully drive new business and lead to more business opportunities for us. I’ve also been working on live briefs, which is great! I’ve been asked to *sensored word - inappropriate language* in the development of a clients new website, which we’re going to pitch to them and we’re also looking into helping another client gain a presence on Facebook and Twitter for an upcoming campaign.
