Co-Creation

Co-Creation

Almost half of UK dogs are overweight or obese, putting them at risk of serious health problems. Working with the University of Sheffield and Nestlé Purina, we helped create a peer-reviewed health pack that provides dog owners with simple tools to manage diet, exercise and daily habits that help reduce obesity in dogs.

Nestlé Purina wanted this project to follow a peer-reviewed, evidence-based, social marketing approach that could impact real behavioural change and deliver positive health outcomes and one that is the first of its kind in this field.

Perfect Circle were chosen for our expertise in social marketing and our ability to turn behavioural theory, like the COM-B model, into tangible tools owners would actually use to help their dogs maintain a healthy weight.

The pack was shaped through co-creation workshops with vets and dog owners, ensuring it was not only grounded in science but also acceptable and practical in real households. Tested in a pilot with 78 owners, the results were promising: high engagement, healthier behaviours and early signs of weight improvement.
